A scientific tool used to demonstrate the effects of air pressure and produce a vacuum is the Bell Jar and Vacuum Pump Set. It comprises of a vacuum pump and a clear bell jar. Eight copper pipes and a tuning fork (256 Hz) make up the Resonance Demonstration Pipes set, which is intended to graphically convey the idea of resonance. Each copper pipe has protective O-rings on the ends to guard against drops that can cause damage. This set visually illustrates how resonance tones can only be produced from particular pipes that match the tuning fork's frequency by hitting the tuning fork and bringing it close to the pipes.
